Dying your hair was a BIG deal, there first were highlights, then came along ombres and now the most popular trend of all is balyage.

A balyage is a technique when hairdresses highlight your hair, but pretty much paint on the color you are looking for. The idea is to create a more natural color instead of it looking streaky and artificial.
