There is absolutely nothing I love more than finding cool & creative DIYs on Pinterest. Recently when I found out my sister was getting engaged, I figured I would make her a basket full of bridal items to surprise her on the day of. I bought champagne glasses with Mr. & Mrs., a planning bridal book and luggage tags for when they go on their honeymoon, but I felt that there was something missing. I had been looking at Etsy and Pinterest for "cute engagement gifts" and came about the custom Jean Jacket.

I purchased the Jean Jacket from Goodwill, fabric paint from Amazon, lace trimming and rhinestones from Pat Catan's. The total for this jean jacket came to about $25. I started with the Jean Jacket as the based and drew on the "Mrs. Miller" it to get it exactly how I wanted before painting it, and also painted on a giant engagement ring. I added the rhinestones with hot glue, and hand-sewn the lace trimming on the outer edges of the sleeves, the back upper collar, and the pockets.
This custom gift was so special for me to make and my sister absolutely loved it! She used it for engagement photos, dress shopping and more.
